A remarkable trip to Kashmir by Isabel Joshy IXC

‘If there is a paradise on anywhere on earth, then it is KASHMIR’. It is a land of unimaginable beauty. It is a valley between the Great Himalayan range and Pir Panjal range. The beauty of Kashmir is beyond words. And I went to this paradise on earth during my summer vacation. It was a twelve-day family trip. Along with my father, mother, sister, and me, there were 49 other members in the group. It was a twelve-day trip in which we shall go around Kashmir, but actually we could only explore a few parts of Kashmir. After the long train journey, we reached NEW DELHI. It took three days. I never felt bore when I was in the group. We went to the India Gate and to the Parliament of India. Before entering the Parliament, we got checked by the officers at least five times. 2013 जूलाई महीने के दौरान रूस में गर्मी की छुट्ठियाँ शुरु हो गई थी । बहुत दिनों से रूस के दूसरे बड़े शहर संतपीटर्ससबर्ग घूमने की इच्छा थी। इसबार हमें वहाँ जाने का अवसर मिल ही गया। 5 जूलाई 2013 को सुबह 6 बजे हम मोस्को में स्थित हमारे घर से संतपीटर्ससबर्ग के लिए रवाना हो गए। मोस्को के सबसे लोकप्रिय परिवहन यहाँ की बुलटट्रेन है।  संतपीटर्ससबर्ग मोस्को से 640 किलोमीटर दूर स्थित शहर है। नेवा नदि के किनारे इस शहर तक पहूँचने के लिए साधारण यातायात में 8 घंटे लगते है , लेकिन बुलेट ट्रेन ने हमें केवल 3 घंटे में ही  संतपीटर्ससबर्ग पहूँचाई। मोस्को से सुबह सात बजे हम बुलेट ट्रेन पर चढे थे । 10 बजे हम संतपीटर्ससबर्ग पहूँच गए। रूस में त्ज़र राजवंश शासन करते थे। संतपीटर्ससबर्ग में त्ज़र राजाओं के राजमहल है। उनके शासनकाल की यादों को ताज़ा करने वाले अनेक स्मारक अब भी संतपीटर्ससबर्ग में है।  हमने इनके दर्शन किए। संतपीटर्ससबर्ग रेल्वे स्टेशन दुनिया के सबसे पुराने रेल्वे स्टेशन है। इसका निर्माण त्ज़र राजा निकोलस प्रथम के द्वारा हुआ था। रेल्वे स्टेशन के सामन...

Journey to the Northeastern part of India- Jincy M.R, XI A

  This travelogue is about a week's journey to the Northeastern part of India.  We arranged the trip to Meghalaya and Assam. We started from Mumbai on 11.02.2018 and we reached on 13.02.18.  It was our 2nd day in Shillong on 15.02.18.  We first went to Dawki River and there we had a boating service between two countries i.e, India and Bangladesh. This river spreads over both the countries and makes people from both the countries meet each other as the boating starts from India and it stops for a minute in the land of Bangladesh. But we aren't allowed to stand in the land. After having a wonderful boating,we then went to the India- Bangladesh border and there we saw the bond of friendship between the two countries. The countries are separated by a gate which allows the passage for emergency.
